Rules for publishing “PLEA-LAC Context”

About the section

Context PLEA-LAC is a publication section within the Latin American Chapter that is published without a defined frequency, but as a continuous flux - acoording the manuscripts are received and reviewed. The main goal is to publish communications to publicize research advances, architectural and urban projects with principles sustainable, reveal problems, propose solutions, and other issues of importance for sustainability in the human habitat.

Publication's guidelines:

Originality. All submitted documents for review must be original and unpublished. They should not be considered for publication in another journal or supplement.
Size. The length of the document including title, authors and references should be between 1000 to 1500 words. The font, size for sections and text is free to be edited once the communication is accepted.
Title. The title must be brief, concise and objective with a maximum length of up to 15 words. It should not contain subtitles.
Authors. The documents may be presented in single authorship or accompanied up to 3 co-authors.
Abstract. The abstract must be written in the native language of the author and in English. It will have a length between 100 to 150 words.
Document's type. You must indicate the type of document:
- Advances: In this section you can report research advances in less technical language.

- Designs: Description of architectural or urban designs with sustainable features. They can be built projects or

only designed.
- Thoughts and opinions: They are communications, essays or reviews with theoretical approaches, positions,

problems or solutions.

Images. A maximum of 4 images may be used as long as are created by the authors submitting the manuscript or who have the rights of the images. The minimum resolution will be 300 dpi.
References. In case of incorporated references, this section should be placed at the end of the manuscript in APA 7th format edition.
Language. The languages for publication are Spanish, English and Portuguese.
Synopsis of the authors. This section does not count within the length of the manuscript. It should be brief and talk about the interests of the authors with a maximum length of 50 words.
File Type. The document must be sent in Microsoft Word word processor for review.
